Hustle. Ambition. Ten-year goals. The buzz words of the new decade, they're designed to induce an immediate sense of urgency in us. An urgency that makes us want to whip out our laptops no matter the time or place and check our emails. Or work for 12 hours without a break. Or skip two meals a day. And what happens at the end of it? Fatigue. Burning eyes. And eventually, burnout.
Unfortunately, the design of the world today is such that it does not allow us the luxury of truly taking time off. Our tiny pinging devices ensure we remain available even on weekends and holidays, leading to a consistently high level of stress. With no outlet to channel this stress, we are left to deal with it in unhealthy ways- doomscrolling, binge-watching and a general sense of dissatisfaction. Does this mean that we resign ourselves to this way of living and are forced to deal with the consequences? Or are there micro-habits we can inculcate to ensure that we sneak in some much-needed downtime while managing to stay on top of our deadlines? Here, at Drishtikoan, we believe in the latter.
We recognise that most employees with full-time jobs would find it difficult to leave their workplaces to engage in hobbies that will help promote relaxation and help them unwind. So instead, we bring them to the workplace itself! With our weekly art workshops, each one focusing on a unique theme, employees can take a break at their workplace itself and spend an hour to themselves, creating something totally personal.
Whether they want to unleash their inner artist, or simply relax and take their minds off work, our space is guaranteed to make each and every employee feel more rejuvenated and ready to take on their challenges again. One hour of no pinging screens, no urgent deadlines, no meetings. Just a place for you to breathe and create a little something with your name on it.
